KUALA LUMPUR, August 3 – Twenty nine people, including a 16 year-old boy, were charged in court today for taking part in the anti-ISA rally which turned the capital into a warzone last Saturday.
Thirteen of them have been charged under Section 43 of the Societies Act which carries a maximum penalty of a RM3,000 fine or a jail term of three years.
One of them is Faizudin Hamzah, the 16-year-old who was arrested last Friday night before the Saturday rally and detained for three days in an adult lockup at the Petaling police station.
Despite protests from his lawyers, the court decided that he would be tried together with the adults.(malaysian insider)
